Booking a Side Jeep Tour for Parents, Friends or Another Hotel
You are organising; they are travelling. The form works fine for that, provided three boxes hold their details rather than yours.
Short answer
Make the booking with their hotel, since one booking collects from one hotel. Give the phone number of someone who will be at the gate, because that is where the pickup time goes the day before. Write anything the team should know in the notes. Nothing is paid online, so the travellers settle the fare in euros on the day.
One booking, one hotel
The form asks for a single hotel, and the jeep calls at that hotel's main gate. If your parents are in a different hotel from you, their seats are a booking of their own, made with their hotel's name. If they are joining you, book everyone together under your hotel and they come to your gate on the morning.
Two parties in two hotels, booked separately, may end up in different jeeps of the convoy. If riding together matters, say so in the notes of both bookings; seating is the operator's call on the day, so we cannot promise it. Whose phone number to give
This is the box that goes wrong. The pickup time is sent by phone or WhatsApp the day before, to the number in the booking. If that number is yours and you are not on the jeep, the time reaches the wrong person, possibly in the wrong country.
So give the number of a traveller who will have the phone on them that day, with the country code, and tick the WhatsApp box if it applies. Then set the confirmation language to theirs: the form offers English, German, Russian, Polish and Turkish. The e-mail field is optional; whichever address you enter receives the written confirmation, and that can be yours.
What to put in the notes
- That you booked on someone else's behalf, with your own number as a back-up contact.
- A back or neck problem, a pregnancy or limited mobility in the party — the operator decides before boarding.
- Who should share a jeep, if anyone should.
- The ages of any children, which you also enter in the guest rows; children travel with an adult in the party.
Money and cancelling when it is not your trip
There is no way to pay for someone else in advance through us, because nothing is paid online at all. The fare changes hands in euros, on the tour day, with the team that collects the travellers. If the seats are a gift, hand over the euros beforehand; the total in the form is the amount they will be asked for.
Up to 20 guests fit in one booking. Plans for other people change more often than your own, so keep the cancellation rule in view: free until 48 hours before the start, by WhatsApp or a reply to the confirmation. The booking guide walks through each step, and the classic day is where to start.
