For a new date, tell us which one; the earliest the form offers is tomorrow, and the pickup time for the new date follows the day before, as it did for the first.

No form is needed and no reason has to be given. Bear one thing in mind when booking late: a booking for tomorrow already sits inside the 48-hour window the moment it is made.

Inside the window

Within 48 hours of the start a cancellation is a late one, because the operator has already held the seat and the lunch. A date change inside the window is treated as a cancellation plus a new booking. If something comes up late, tell us as early as you can — a convoy that has not yet left can sometimes take the change.

Not being at the hotel gate at the confirmed time is counted the same way as a late cancellation.

When the agency calls it off

A departure can be cancelled for weather, safety or operational reasons. You are then offered another date or released from the booking with no charge. Winter on its own is not a reason: the day tours still run, with the roofs on and no water thrown. The night safari keeps its own season, early June to mid-November.

Switching tours instead of dates

Moving from the classic jeep tour to the zoo route, or back, is not a date change — both collect from the same hotels, and the date you already hold stays as it is.
