Side Jeep Tour at Ages 11 and 12: Where the Fares Change
Two birthdays move a child across the price list, and they are a year apart. Here is what each one changes, with a few families worked through.
Short answer
On both day tours a child aged 2 to 10 pays the child fare of €10, and from 11 every guest pays the adult fare of €20. The night safari starts a year later, at 12, and has no child fare. So a child of 11 rides the day tours as an adult but cannot yet be booked on the evening.
Four lines on the price list
- Under 2: free on the day tours, travelling with an adult. Not bookable on the night safari.
- From 2 up to 10: the child fare, €10, on the classic day and the zoo route alike.
- 11 and over: the adult fare, €20, on both day tours.
- 12 and over: the only age row the night safari has, at €35 per guest.
The awkward year sits between the third and fourth lines: at 11, an adult on the day price list and still too young for the evening.
Three families, worked through
You never have to do the sums yourself. The form counts each guest by age and shows a total before you confirm, and that total is what the family hands over, in euros, on the day. The optional extras — the Green Lake boat at €5 per person, the waterfall entrance, the zoo ticket on the zoo route — come on top only if you take them.
| The party | Day tour (classic or zoo route) | Night safari |
|---|---|---|
| Two adults, children aged 10 and 11 | Three adult fares at €20 each, one child fare at €10 | The two adults only, at €35 each |
| Two adults and a teenager of 12 | Three adult fares at €20 each | All three, at €35 each |
| Two adults, a child of 2 and a baby | Two adult fares and one child fare; the baby pays nothing | The two adults only |
When a birthday falls inside the holiday
Here the record is silent. It sets the age rows, but it says nothing about whether the age on the booking date or the age on the tour date decides the fare. We would rather not invent a rule. If your child turns 11 or 12 between booking and the tour, write the date of birth in the notes, or send us a WhatsApp message first; we check the row with the operator rather than guess.
Planning the week around it
With a child of 11 in the party, the day tour is the one the whole family can share; the evening is for the members aged 12 and over. With a teenager of 12 or older, both tours are open to everyone, and day or night weighs them side by side. For younger children, the children's guide covers the open jeep and the long day. Every fare, row by row, is on the prices page.
