Jeep Tour Side Itinerary: the Classic Day, Stop by Stop
Fourteen stops make up the classic day, from the morning knock at your hotel gate until the convoy brings you home in the late afternoon. Here they are in the operator's order, with what happens at each one and which of them cost extra.
Short answer
The classic Side jeep tour runs for about 8 hours and makes 14 stops: hotel pickup, the old Roman bridge, the off-road riverbeds, the orchards, the Roman aqueducts, the lookout over Green Lake, a swim and pancakes in Oymapınar village, the dam, the Green Canyon viewpoint, lunch by the lake, the optional boat, a village mosque, the programme-dependent waterfall and the drive home. The zoo route is the same list with one stop more.
Morning: from the hotel to the end of the asphalt
- 1. Pickup. After breakfast time, at the main entrance gate of your hotel. The exact time reaches you the day before, by phone or WhatsApp.
- 2. The old Roman bridge. The first stop, at the point where the tarmac gives out. The jeeps form up here before the tracks begin.
- 3. Off-road through the riverbeds. The jeeps leave the road for dry riverbeds and splash across streams. In summer, this is where the water starts flying between the jeeps.
- 4. Orchards and fields. Orange, lemon and pomegranate trees, then cotton and sesame. On some days nomadic Yörük families are camped nearby; on others they are not.
- 5. The Roman aqueducts. Old arches out in the open country, and a photo stop for the whole convoy.
Midday: the water country
- 6. Green Lake from above. A panoramic viewpoint over the lake and the dam country around it.
- 7. Oymapınar village. A swim, then Turkish pancakes, rolled out and cooked while you watch, with a drink.
- 8. Oymapınar Dam. A photo stop at the dam wall.
- 9. Above Green Canyon. One more viewpoint, this time over the canyon, before the table.
- 10. Lunch by the lake. At a lakeside restaurant near Green Canyon, in the fare. Drinks are paid separately.

Afternoon: extras, the mosque and home
- 11. Optional: the Green Lake boat. Roughly an hour on the water after lunch, €5 per person, paid on the spot. Skip it and the day is still whole.
- 12. A village mosque. A short visit with the guide to a traditional village mosque.
- 13. Manavgat Waterfall, when the programme includes it. A stop on the way back on the days the programme makes it; the entrance is paid on site.
- 14. Back at your hotel. Late afternoon, at the same gate you left from.
What the driver settles on the day
The list above is the operator's sequence, not a timetable. The driver runs the route to suit the day — the convoy, the traffic at a viewpoint, how long the swim takes — so two stops can swap places. What does not change is the content: the swim, the viewpoints and lunch are all in it.
Two things wait until the day itself. Whether the waterfall stop happens depends on that day's programme, and whether you take the boat is up to you after lunch. We do not publish how long each stop lasts, because the driver sets that too. For the costs of the boat and the waterfall, see the boat hour and the waterfall.
The zoo route: one stop more
If you book the zoo route, the day keeps all fourteen stops and adds a fifteenth: the zoo, where guests can meet the lion cubs and have a photograph taken. The ticket is bought at the gate. The classic day never makes that stop. If you are torn between the two, classic route or zoo route sets them side by side.
